Science Fiction Becomes a Reality - With the New Star Wars Levitation Toy |
|
| Contributed by: Anonymous on Friday, March 27 2009 @ 05:14 AM CDT |
| What if you could literally train your mind to levitate a sphere? Sounds a bit far fetched?
Well it’s not anymore, because this is exactly what you can do with the latest star wars toy called “the Force Trainer” which turns Science fiction into reality as it utilises your brainwaves to levitate a sphere within a tube.
The Star Wars Force Trainer was created by Uncle Milton, a US based company which produces Science-based toys. The toy uses EEG technology to transmit your alpha and beta brainwaves from a head set to wirelessly drive a motor which powers a fan that sends a sphere up a tower. You can progress from Padawan to Jedi Master, as you use “The Force Trainer” through 15 levels of Jedi training. Along the way you will be encouraged by Obi Wan, Darth Vader and, of course, Yoda helping you with training tips and sound effects. The better your concentration, the more you are able to control the fan and the sphere rises.

Saturday Morning - Still For Kids
With the prequel trilogy competing for the attention of the fans, I sometimes wonder what the next generation thinks about the film I enjoy the most: STAR WARS.

These Aren't Your Dad's Card Games
Back in the day we had card games such as the "Ewoks Pal Pals", the Ewoks "Say 'Cheese!'", and the Return of the Jedi "Play for Power".
Cartamundi has gone beyond manufacturing classic decks of Star Wars playing cards and are now delving into card games as well.

Today we're going to party like it's 1981!
Sometimes if we express the same opinion for long enough, we become so comfortable with it that we believe it's true without ever stopping to reexamine it.
There's one collectible that I personally obtain every one of, yet advise others to avoid collecting any more of than they have to... Calendars!
Calendars are in the 'paper goods' category, and are wonderful tools to track days, appointments, and holidays throughout the year while also getting to see some wonderful monthly images of our favorite film saga. After the year has expired though, there is nothing remarkable about the abundantly produced calendars that would give them any cause at all to retain their retail value, much less appreciate or gain in any value for collectors. |

"STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI GLASSES" BURGER KING DISPLAY.
If you were eating at Burger King in 1983, you might recall this six foot tall Darth Vader in the food lobby beckoning you to beg your parent for some Return of the Jedi glasses. Back then most kids weren't even considering asking for the cool displays. If you were one of them, then this is your chance to walk away with one for a real steal of a deal!

Sure, Starbles Are Rare. But 'Exciting'??
It's always fun to get something that's rare. It took me years to collect a full set of Star Wars Starbles one or two at a time. Finally I was content with my set of twelve. At Celebration II I was shown a boxed set that was handed out as a thank you premium to those involved with it's production (rumored to only have 100 boxed sets made) but I could live without that. Back on December 8th I received an email, and now a new search for Starbles has began.

Meesa No Thinkin It Being Time For Beddy Bye!
Episode I: The Phantom Menace brought about a deluge of Star Wars merchandise. Toys were only pebbles in the avalanche or merchandise that was made for home or everyday use.

Six Years Later - Still Collecting Strong!
December 26, 2002 I posted the first article here at the Star Wars Guide for Super Collectors. I had just received a KB Toys exclusive 4-pack of AOTC figures that had been tampered with to artificially raise it's value on eBay, and the Yoda mug my Deka which completed my vintage Deka mug collection. Those were the days!
Today I have a wonderfully odd item to add to my collection thanks to my wife Tamara. For Christmas she had done some independent research and found a very large Star Wars item that I had missed with all of my searching. If I had heard whisperings about this, I would have dismissed them as rumor. After all, who would ever have believed they made a Star Wars...
