Magnets ... this time from Japan

Magnets actually have quite a history with Star Wars collectibles from around the world. I stated writing a paragraph about the different magnets and where they came from, and ended up with close to a page of text! So let's just say there are a great many magnets from a great many places. =)

The set I'm adding to my collection today is currently in production in Japan. The box they arrived in is marked ''Artbox'', but the news sites are referring to them as ''Armada Real" magnets.

There are eight magnets in the set: C-3PO, Darth Vader, Jawa, R2-D2, Stormtrooper, TIE Fighter Pilot, Tusken Raider, and a mystery magnet who turned out to be none other then Boba Fett.

Collectors will be surprised to learn that although Boba Fett is the mystery magnet, he is not a chase magnet (short packed). In fact, nearly every collector I've talked to who is collecting the set had no trouble at all locating Fett.

I bought a complete box of eight, thinking that it would contain all eight magnets. I was WRONG. My box had two Darth Vader magnets, and no Tusken Raider. (Yes, Boba Fett was in there.)

The sculpting details on the magnets is worthy of the quality you'd expect to find on Attakus or Gentle Giant art pieces. The paint is also flawless and well applied. For $5-$10 each, this set fo magnets has earned a definate spot in the 'all-time cool' category of Star Wars collecting.
